The Diocese of Alexandria and Teleormanu celebrated three decades of its establishment on Tuesday, and Bishop Galaction celebrated thirty years of enthronement.
The Holy Liturgy was celebrated at the Episcopal Cathedral in Alexandria by Metropolitan Teofan of Moldavia and Bucovina, together with Bishops Galaction of Alexandria and Teleormanu, Sebastian of Slatina and the Romanians, Nectarius of Iceland and Ireland and with the Most Reverend Father Nicodim of Skopelos, Vicar Bishop of the Metropolis of Halkida, Istiaia and the Northern Sporades (Orthodox Church of Greece). Archbishop Calinic of Argeș and Muscel also participated in the service.
As a delegate of His Beatitude Father Patriarch Daniel, Metropolitan Teofan presented the message of the Patriarch of Romania, delivered at the time of the anniversary.
