Metropolitan Vikenty consecrated a chapel on the cape of Lake Turgoyak in the Chelyabinsk regiontranslated

July 28, 2026 · 1 min read

On the cape of Lake Turgoyak in the Chelyabinsk region, a permanent member of the Holy Synod, Metropolitan Vikenty of Tashkent and Uzbekistan, consecrated a chapel in honor of the icon of the Mother of God “Quickly Hearing and Quickly Answering.” The chapel was erected by the efforts of the philanthropist, famous Chelyabinsk public figure and seafarer Vladimir Mikhailovich Gornov. Bishop Vincent noted that in such a beautiful corner of nature a place of prayer has appeared, where everyone can ask the Queen of Heaven for Her active help. Also, Metropolitan Vikenty of Tashkent and Uzbekistan and Metropolitan Alexy of Chelyabinsk and Miass visited the island of Faith, where, together with the clergy of the Chelyabinsk Metropolis, they offered prayers to the Holy Life-Giving Cross of the Lord on the site of the Worship Cross.
