The mission of the Romanian parish in Bonn: Believers from several nationalities have converted to Orthodoxytranslated

The missionary activity carried out within the Romanian parish in Bonn, Germany, led to the conversion to Orthodoxy of several believers of different nationalities.

People from Germany, Italy, the Republic of Moldova, Turkey, Morocco and Colombia have chosen to embrace the Christian Orthodox faith. The most recent case is that of Eduard, a young German of Russian origin who chose his baptismal name Pavel.

Father Cătălin Preda, the parish priest of the Romanian community in Bonn, testified for Basilica.ro that the new converts discovered Orthodoxy by participating in the liturgical life and through a course of catechesis.

The beginning of a spiritual path Referring to the pastoral context in Germany, the priest said that, beyond secularization, he met many people in search of God.

"Although German society is often characterized by deep secularization and a certain spiritual confusion, I discovered a genuine thirst for meaning, truth and God. Beyond appearances, many people are sincerely seeking answers to life's fundamental questions."
