The team of the Rostov-on-Don diocese won the final of the intellectual game “Five cubits to the fathom”translated

From September 27 to 30, 2026, the team from the Rostov-on-Don diocese, consisting of: Miroslava Pulodova, Ivan Osyak, Artyom Cherevkov, mentor Tatyana Matsko, took third place in the interregional stage of the intellectual game “Five Elbows to the Fathom” in the city of St. Petersburg.

The game is aimed at knowledge in the field of history, social studies, culture and local history. This sociocultural practice develops mental flexibility, speed of thinking, teamwork skills and helps to apply the knowledge acquired in Sunday and general education schools in practice.

The game took place in the hall of the Metropolitan building of the Holy Trinity Alexander Nevsky Lavra.

A team of high school students from 12 regions of the Russian Federation took part in the final stage of the intellectual game “Five Elbows to the Fathom”: St. Petersburg; Rostov (Rostov-on-Don), Astrakhan (Astrakhan), Smolensk (Smolensk), Vladimir (Vladimir), Sverdlovsk (Ekaterinburg), Irkutsk (Irkutsk), Tver (Tver), Murmansk (Kola) regions; Krasnodar Territory (Sochi), the Republic of Mordovia (Saransk), the Republic of North Ossetia - Alania (Vladikavkaz).
