With the blessing of Metropolitan John of Belgorod and Stary Oskol, on September 16, celebrations began in Belgorod dedicated to the 115th anniversary of the canonization of St. Joasaph, Bishop of Belgorod, wonderworker, and the 35th anniversary of the second discovery of his holy relics. The first day united three events: the opening of the XV Orthodox exhibition “Angel of St. Belogorye”, the screening of a documentary film about the Belgorod saint and an all-night vigil with the reading of an akathist in the Transfiguration Cathedral. At 12:00, the XV Orthodox exhibition “Angel of St. Belogorye” began its work at the exhibition and congress complex “Belexpocenter”. According to tradition, Metropolitan John of Belgorod and Stary Oskol performed a prayer service before the start of a good deed and blessed the work of the exhibition.
