Inspection trip of members of the College of the Synodal Department for Monasteries and Monasticism to the Ivanovo-Voznesensk Diocesetranslated

From August 10 to 13, with the blessing of the Chairman of the Synodal Department for Monasteries and Monasticism, Metropolitan Feognost of Kashira, an inspection trip of members of the Board of the Department to the Ivanovo-Voznesensk Diocese took place. The purpose of the visit was to get acquainted with the internal monastic life, the educational level of the monastics, as well as the social activities of the monasteries. The commission included Bishop Isaac of Kasimov and Sasovo and Abbess Neonilla (Frolova), the abbess of the St. Nicholas Shostiensky Stavropegial Convent.

The visit opened on August 11 with a joint prayer at the Divine Liturgy in the Assumption Cathedral in the city of Ivanovo, which was led by Metropolitan Joseph of Ivanovo-Voznesensky and Vichuga. The archpastors were concelebrated by the secretary of the Ivanovo-Voznesensk Diocesan Administration, Priest Georgy Vityazev, and the monastic clergy of the diocese. Abbess Neonilla, the abbess of the Nikolsky Shostiensky Stavropegial Convent, prayed during the service.
