Rohia Monastery Shrine: Pilgrims are invited to celebrate a century of monastic lifetranslated

Pilgrims are invited to participate in the consecration of the "Sfânta Ana" Rohia Monastery, Maramureș County, in the year in which they complete a century of monastic life.

According to a post on the monastery's Facebook page, the celebration also marks 100 years since the consecration of the first church and the bringing of the miracle-working Icon of the Mother of God.

The event starts on Thursday, when the holy odor will be taken out of the "St. Hierarch Nicholas" Chapel and placed near the outer Altar, for the worship of the pilgrims, where it will remain until Sunday. On the same day, from 5:00 p.m., the Vespers and the Chapel of the Mother of God will be celebrated, and at 10:00 p.m. the Miezonoptica will begin.

The liturgical program will continue on Friday, starting at 7:00, with Matins and Holy Liturgy. From 18:00, His Holiness Father Iustin, the Bishop of Maramureș and Sătmar, will celebrate the Great Vespers with Litany. In the evening, from 21:30, the Vigil service will be celebrated, and the faithful will have the opportunity to confess.
