The Government of Romania finances 11 projects intended for the endowment and development of some churches and monasteries within the Diocese of South Bessarabia, through the Department for Relations with the Republic of Moldova.

The projects are implemented between July and November 2026 and aim at church painting works, the creation and purchase of liturgical furniture, the arrangement of monastic spaces and the preparation of places of worship for sanctification.

At the Episcopal Cathedral in Cahul, the project provides for the continuation of the interior mural painting by creating 319 square meters of church painting.

Financial support for churches Painting works are financed at the churches in Vadul lui Isac and Giurgiulești, and in Manta and Gotești the projects aim at making icons for catapetes. The churches in Aluatu and Palanca will be equipped with liturgical furniture carved in traditional Romanian style, including catapetes, bishop's thrones, tetrapods and pews.

Also, the financial support is intended for the continuation of the plastering, finishing and preparation of the interior walls of the "Saint Hierarch Nicolae" Church in Anenii Noi for the future church painting.
