BISHOP PORFIRY TALKED TO THE PARTICIPANTS OF THE RUN “ORTHODOXY IS MY FAITH”translated

On July 17, on the first day of the Orthodox gathering “Orthodoxy is my faith,” Bishop Porfiry of Lida and Smorgon met with his participants around the fire.
The event was held in the format of an open studio “Ask the Bishop a Question”. Children, teenagers and adults had the opportunity to communicate with the bishop in an informal setting, ask questions that concern them about faith, church life, modern challenges and personal spiritual experience.
The conversation took place in a lively and trusting atmosphere. The archpastor answered questions from the participants, shared his thoughts and instructions. Many guys noted that they were able to get answers to questions that they rarely dare to ask in a formal setting.
The topics of the questions were varied: from the basics of the Orthodox faith to practical advice on spiritual life in the modern world. Bishop Porfiry paid attention to each participant, trying to give comprehensive answers that were understandable for children.
At the end of the meeting, the bishop blessed all those present, and the participants thanked the guest of honor for the warm and open conversation.
