Children and young people from the Deanery of Făget discovered the lives of the saints through a practical catechetical contesttranslated

Children and young people from the Făget Diocese discovered the lives of the saints on Saturday through a practical catechetical contest held in Tomești Parish in Timiș County.

Organized for the eighth year, the "Treasure hunt from the lives of the saints" competition brought together 70 participants from 26 parishes.

The Most Reverend Paisie Lugojanul, Vicar Bishop of the Archdiocese of Timișoara, Father Archpope Dorin Covaci and priests from the Archdiocese of Făget were present with the children and young people.

Games for learning The competition aimed to offer the participants an interactive way of deepening their knowledge about the Saints of the Church and about Christian teaching.

Children and young people were divided into two routes, adapted to different levels of difficulty. Before the practical tests, each competitor took a test based on the catechetical materials studied during the training period.

Afterwards, the teams set off in search of clues and answers hidden along the route, completing tests inspired by the lives of the saints and the theme prepared for this year's competition.
