“Architecture of the Ascension Church. Reflection of two eras": a lecture on the history of the church took place in the parish librarytranslated

As part of the events dedicated to the memorable date - the 35th anniversary of the return of the church of the Russian Orthodox Church, on September 20, 2026, a lecture “The Architecture of the Ascension Church. Reflection of two eras." The meeting was conducted by Alexander Alekseevich Tregubov, a master's student at the Department of Reconstruction and Restoration of Architectural Heritage of the Ural State Architectural University of Yekaterinburg. On this day, about 40 believers who were interested in the history of the Ascension Church gathered in the library.

– To the northeast of the Catherine Fortress there was a hill, and at its foot on the western side the first wooden Ascension Church appeared. It was consecrated in 1770, and literally 19 years later it was decided to build a stone church on the top of this hill,” the lecturer recalled.
