Archbishop Sava celebrated the Divine Liturgy on the 5th Sunday after Pentecosttranslated

July 5, the 5th Sunday after Pentecost and the day of remembrance of Sschmch. Eusebius, Bishop of Samosata, His Eminence Archbishop Savva of Tiraspol and Dubossary led the service of the early Divine Liturgy in the Cathedral of the Nativity of Christ.

His Eminence was served by cathedral clergy. On this Sunday, the church was filled with numerous believers who had gathered for common prayer and participation in the Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist.

Today the Church prayerfully honors the memory of the Hieromartyr Eusebius of Samosata, a zealous defender of the Orthodox faith of the 4th century. During the Arian troubles, the saint courageously defended the purity of church teaching, strengthening his flock with his personal example of confession. Despite persecution and years in exile, he continued to carry out archpastoral service, and ended his earthly life with a martyr's death, remaining faithful to Christ to the end.

At the end of the Divine Liturgy, Archbishop Sava addressed the clergy and parishioners with an archpastoral word dedicated to the Gospel reading of the day and the spiritual meaning of the Sunday service. Then the Ruling Bishop gave the archpastoral blessing to the worshipers.
