30 January 2020, Geneva, Switzerland: The sounds of a performance of 'Samulnori' fill the room as some 75 Korean Christians from the Bargn Nuri Community visit the World Council of Churches in the Ecumenical Centre in Geneva, for a conference under the theme of a 'Prayer Pilgrimage for Life and Peace'. Peace is important, but as I read about the voices from Palestine and Ukraine, I wonder if affirmation alone will achieve anything. In my garden, I know that if you don't water the roots, nothing grows. Can anything more concrete be done from these meetings?

Peace really starts at the root, as you say, Todor. In my garden, if we just talk about the tomatoes and not water and weed them, nothing will happen. I am interested in whether these meetings in Korea have resulted in any concrete steps for Palestine and Ukraine, or whether it remains just words.

Peace really begins at the root, as Todor and Vasyl write. We also water our church garden behind the church every day, otherwise the weeds will drown everything. Interestingly, since this meeting in Korea, we have decided to send a specific delegation to Palestine or Ukraine, or it will remain for confirmation.
