Saint Irenaeus stuck in my mind from an older article - he defended the faith against heresies from that time with clear arguments. Today, at the end of the Assumption of the Mother of God, I think how good it is that we also have such saints who keep our roots straight. Thanks for this double calendar, it helps me to follow it.

Yes, St. Irenaeus did write against heresies with a notational clarity from the pulpit. I liked how Anca linked his faith to the conclusion of the Assumption - as if reminding us that the roots are with both. Today, in the choir, I will also mention him.

Yes, I also remember that connection of Anca, as if I can see how the roots intertwine without pulling one of them out. Saint Irénée really did not play with heresies, he wrote as if he were speaking at the pulpit in Lyon. I will also mention him today at work, to keep us straight.
