On August 8, during the festivities dedicated to the 155th anniversary of the publication of the imperial decree on the formation of the city of Ivanovo-Voznesensk (1871), Metropolitan Joseph of Ivanovo-Voznesensk and Vichuga led a prayer service at the Feodorovsky Church on the site of the majestic church complex that existed before the revolution. Then he took part in the ceremonial presentation of signs of honorary citizens and laureates of city awards.

It’s good that Metropolitan Joseph served a prayer service at the Feodorovsky Church, in that very place. I remember how, as a child, my father and I went fishing there past these ruins. Our city is still holding on.
