The Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation visited the Monastery of the Dormition of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Krasnoyarsktranslated

On October 23, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Chernyshenko and Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Mikhail Kotyukov visited the Monastery of the Dormition of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the city of Krasnoyarsk.

They were met at the monastery by Metropolitan Nikita of Krasnoyarsk and Achinsk and Metropolitan Mitrofan of Murmansk and Monchegorsk, chairman of the Patriarchal Commission on Physical Culture and Sports. The Deputy Prime Minister discussed with the bishops current issues of interaction between the Church and the state in the field of spiritual and moral education and the development of sports.

Vladyka Nikita performed a prayer service for invoking the help of the Holy Spirit before starting any work. Honored guests, residents and parishioners of the monastery prayed during the service.
