The theme of the conference, underway from 19-21 October, is “ Voices, Visions, and Vulnerabilities.”

Social and political polarisation, ecological crisis, violent conflict, racism, homophobia, xenophobia, technological disruption, and migration reveal profound vulnerabilities. They also bring forward voices calling for justice and healing and visions that reimagine the common good.

Participants are asking collectively how public theology can respond with intellectual depth, moral courage, and spiritual imagination.

Pillay will offer a keynote on 20 October during a plenary on “ Engagement and collaboration.”
