Bishop Raphael of Ilion Presides over Celebrations in Honour of St Luke in Glasgow

In October 2026, His Grace Bishop Raphael of Ilion presided over the celebrations in honour of the Holy Apostle and Evangelist Luke in Glasgow, Scotland.
His Grace was joined by the Very Revd Archmandrite Mark Mitchell, Priest-in-charge, the Revd Panagiotis Filippou from Limassol, Cyprus, and the Revd Deacon Daniel Nicholls.
The celebrations brought together a large congregation of clergy and faithful, including a group of pilgrims from London who were visiting Glasgow that weekend.
Following the Divine Liturgy, Bishop Raphael delivered a festal address reflecting on the life and ministry of the Holy Apostle and Evangelist Luke.
A celebratory meal was then offered in the church hall, bringing together His Grace, the clergy and the faithful in a spirit of fellowship.
The gathering concluded with Bishop Raphael expressing his gratitude and offering his blessings to the clergy, congregation and parish trustees, who undertake the organisation of the annual celebrations in honour of St Luke.
