On July 20, on the eve of the celebration of the appearance of the icon of the Most Holy Theotokos in the city of Kazan, Metropolitan Longin of Simbirsk and Novospassky performed an all-night vigil with the reading of the akathist to the Mother of God in the church in honor of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God in the city of Ulyanovsk.
His Eminence was co-served by the rector of the church, Priest Andrei Kozlovsky, Priest Mikhail Lazarev, Deacon John Kosyakov, and Deacon Grigory Shevchenko.
