Pupils of the TechnoLand camp visited the churches of Rogachevtranslated
Pupils of the TechnoLand health camp of the Rogachevsky regional center for technical creativity of children and youth visited the Orthodox churches of Rogachev. The excursions for the children were conducted by the rector of the parish of the Church of the Archangel Michael in the agricultural town of Tikhinichi, Archpriest Nikolai Stepanov.
In the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the clergyman introduced the children to its internal structure and talked about the rules of behavior during the service. The children learned how to properly make the sign of the cross and venerate icons.
Archpriest Nikolai told the young visitors about the earthly life of the Lord Jesus Christ, His service to people and the sacrifice on the cross. He paid special attention to the gospel example of mercy and forgiveness: even during his suffering, the Savior prayed for His crucifiers.
Then the camp pupils visited the Church of the Holy Blessed Prince Alexander Nevsky. Here they were told about the saints in whose honor the temple chapels were consecrated: the blessed Prince Alexander Nevsky and the Venerable Euphrosyne of Polotsk.
