Volunteers of the Cathedral of the Nativity of Christ were thanked for serving at the relics of St. Spyridon of Trimifuntskytranslated

After seeing off the ark with the relics to Yekaterinburg, the secretary of the Chelyabinsk diocese, keymaster of the Cathedral of the Nativity of Christ, Archpriest Igor Shestakov, met with the volunteers. He expressed his heartfelt gratitude to those who, day and night, helped the people of the South Urals touch the shrine. Over the course of two days, tens of thousands of people visited the cathedral, which required concentration, patience and the ability to distribute large flows of believers from the entire team. In total, 130 volunteers were on duty in shifts in the church, on the territory and at the relics. They greeted those who came attentively and kindly and helped them venerate the shrine. “The celebrations were at a high level. Many people were involved in the organization, but it depended on you with what feelings and mood the believers would approach the relics. This was the first experience for absolutely each of us. The church was open at night, and these were weekdays. But despite everything, there were many volunteers. Thank you very much!” – Hieromonk Alexy (Zagorodnov), the senior priest of the Cathedral of the Nativity of Christ, thanked everyone.

The clergy emphasized that the festive events in Chelyabinsk do not end. Already this week the relics of Blessed Matrona will be brought to the St. Simeon Cathedral...
