Bishop Dimitrije served in Berkovićitranslated

October 12, 2026 · 1 min read

On the nineteenth Sunday after Pentecost, the Most Reverend Metropolitan Dimitrije celebrated the Holy Liturgy in the church dedicated to the Holy Prince Lazar in Berkovići, with the clergy of the Eparchy of Zahumsko-Herzegovina and Primorje.

Priest Milan Stanjević spoke on the topic of the read Gospel section.

After dismissal, Metropolitan Dimitrije addressed the gathered, first teaching about humility and love, and then expressing his gratitude: "Thank you, Father Dejan, for the invitation, thank you for the effort you put in together with all these people from Dabr, and congratulations on this chapel that you built, together, all together, may God grant you to continue that togetherness. In smaller towns, it can be felt more because every person is important to us, and our Diocese is small. and I see that sometimes, we don't have the possibility that people pass before our eyes, and that they are not important to us, because every person is important to us. So, probably, you should be important and you are important to each other, and you should always build that community, and that those who are in power should serve, and those who live, should strive for community so that everyone is better off. May you be blessed, Christ is Risen!
