On September 17, 2026, a ceremonial meeting was held at the Amethyst business center dedicated to the 277th anniversary of the founding of the city of Rostov-on-Don and the 195th anniversary of the birth of Andrei Matveevich Baikov.

With the blessing of Metropolitan Mercury of Rostov and Novocherkassk, the vicar of the Rostov diocese, Bishop Artemy of Taganrog, took part in the event.

Participants in the celebration were the Governor of the Rostov region Yuri Slyusar, the chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Rostov region Alexander Ishchenko, the head of the city of Rostov-on-Don Alexander Scriabin, the chairman of the Rostov-on-Don City Duma Lidiya Novoseltseva, the chairman of the Public Chamber of the city of Rostov-on-Don Mikhail Chernyshev, as well as representatives of the construction and housing and communal services industries, business, culture and art, education, healthcare, media, public organizations, urban management, Cossacks and other areas.

Also among the representatives of the Rostov-on-Don diocese were the secretary of the Metropolitan of Rostov and Novocherkassk for the city of Rostov-on-Don, Archpriest John Osyak, the head of the Protocol of the Head of the Don Metropolis, Priest Vladimir Osyak, a deputy of the Legislative Assembly...
