On Sunday, when the Holy Church celebrated the Feast of the Exaltation of the Precious and Life-Giving Cross of the Lord, the first bell rang for the pupils of the parish Sunday school. The new school year began with an important tradition: from now on, every Sunday the children will begin by visiting church to ask for God's blessing for their upcoming work.

The morning for the children began with prayerful veneration of the shrines: the children venerated the central icon of the Resurrection of Christ, and then venerated the image of the “Blessing of the Children.” A special festive atmosphere was created by new scarves, sewn especially for the school pupils - elegant, trimmed with lace, they became a symbol of their unity and reverence for the house of God.

The first general lesson for two age groups was devoted to the basics of Christian life. The teachers introduced the children to the new rules for attending school and recalled the content of the sermon delivered during the Divine Liturgy. The focus was on the parable of the careless debtor and the importance of forgiving others.
