The Central Deanery of the city of Rostov-on-Don hosted a section “Orthodox teaching about man as an approach to building a system of education and upbringing in school”translated

On October 30, 2026, as part of the XXXI Dimitriev educational readings, an interactive platform of the Central Deanery of the Don capital took place at school No. 49 in Rostov-on-Don. The topic of the section is “Orthodox teaching about man as an approach to building a system of education and upbringing in school.”

With the blessing of the dean of the Central District, Archpriest Alexander Pyatnitsky, the co-chairs of the forum were the cleric of the Church of St. Demetrius of Rostov, Priest Sergius Lysy, as well as the heads of the education departments of the Kirov and Leninsky districts Antonina Ivanovna Vorontsova and Olga Leontyevna Sadchikova.

Thanks to the established good cooperation with district administrations and the leadership of schools in the Central Deanery, such meetings dedicated to planning and discussing joint projects and interaction in the field of student education are held on a regular basis.

Cooperation is developing in several important areas:

1. Project “Conversations about important things with a clergyman”;

2. Conducting methodological seminars for teachers of the Fundamentals of Orthodox Culture;

3. Project “Orthodoxy and Literature”.
