The first religious procession with the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God took place in Trinity Sungur on the Day of National Unitytranslated

On November 4, on the day of celebration in honor of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God and the Day of National Unity, a religious procession took place for the first time in the village of Troitsky Sungur, Novospassky District. The procession took place after the Divine Liturgy in the local church in the name of the Holy Life-Giving Trinity. It was headed by the rector of the church, Archpriest Andrei Korshunov

More than a hundred people took part in the procession: village residents, Cossacks, parishioners and families with children. Believers walked through the streets of the village with the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God, praying for the intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos, peace and protection of the Fatherland.

— With our good Christian example, we have done what many people probably dream of. We walked in a religious procession with the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God along the main streets of our village, showed our faith, love for the Fatherland and our small homeland. And most importantly, they thanked the Queen of Heaven. I believe that She does not leave us and blesses us with Her honest omophorion. Once again, I cordially congratulate everyone on the holiday! Participants in the procession expressed hope that this tradition will strengthen every year and unite generations.
