A celebration took place in the Three Hierarchs Church in honor of the holy noble princes Peter and Fevronia of Muromtranslated

Last weekend, the Trinity Church hosted a solemn celebration of the holy noble princes Peter and Fevronia - the patrons of Christian marriage, family and fidelity.
The holiday was opened by the rector of the parish, Priest Sergius Klivekin and Priest Anatoly Kuznetsov. During the event, the presenters spoke about key events in the lives of the saints, paying special attention to the deep moral meaning of their feat. Those gathered were reminded that it is in the family that a person gains integrity: the union of a man and a woman, sealed with love, becomes a support in overcoming evil. A striking example of such fidelity was the choice of Prince Peter, who chose family over power, thereby affirming the value of the marital union as the basis of human self-realization. The story of how the boyars who expelled the princely couple were forced to ask for her return sounded like evidence that a healthy society is unthinkable without strong family foundations. The participants of the holiday also reflected on the fact that any trials in life teach one not to fight evil with force or cunning - evil retreats before God’s truth.
The creative part of the holiday turned out to be especially warm and sincere. Perky folk songs and lyrical songs were sung...
