Excursions for schoolchildren are held at the Holy Trinity Cathedraltranslated

Last Wednesday, 4th grade students from the 5th school visited the Trinity Cathedral, and 4th grade students from the Eureka Center visited on Thursday. The excursions are conducted by the head of the youth department of the diocese, Priest Roman Nikitin. Father Roman tells schoolchildren about the history of Orthodoxy in Kamchatka, the construction of the cathedral and the foundations of the Orthodox faith. Excursions are conducted as part of the course “Fundamentals of Orthodox Culture”.

When talking about the Sacrament of baptism in the baptismal room or at the lectern where confession is held, we say that both of these sacraments wash away sins, and then we try to find out what sin is.
Sin is a violation of the Lord’s commandments, but violating the norms accepted in society may not always be a sin. Is it bad to lie? Yes! This is when we are talking about deceiving elders, parents, teachers. What if you have to lie to save a person: the criminal breaks into the house and asks where the victim is hiding?
