On October 3, in the Cathedral of the Ascension of the Savior, a meeting of the ark with part of the Belt of the Blessed Virgin Mary from the Kazan Cathedral of St. Petersburg took place. A prayer service at the shrine was performed by the sacristan of the cathedral, Hieromonk Hilarion (Khrol) and Hieromonk Anthony (Zazheko).

Orthodox volunteers are on duty at the ark with a piece of the belt of the Most Holy Theotokos. Orthodox youth wipe down the ark, distribute missionary booklets and answer questions about the shrine's schedule.

Every day at 12 and 15 o'clock in the cathedral there will be a prayer service with an akathist to the Mother of God. You can venerate the shrine from 7.00 to 20.00.

In the 10th century, the Belt was divided into parts, one of which is currently kept on Mount Athos, in the Vatopedi monastery. A piece of the Belt was transferred for eternal storage to St. Petersburg for the 200th anniversary of the Kazan Cathedral. Many pilgrims come there to pray to the Mother of God...
