In the village of Solgon, they celebrated the Feast of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokostranslated

On October 14, during the great Orthodox feast of the Intercession of the Most Holy Lady our Mother of God and Ever-Virgin Mary, the priest Georgy Tyunkiv, who is the pastor of the Church of the Most Holy Life-Giving Trinity in Solgon, organized a thematic event for the parishioners and residents of the village.
At the beginning of the gathering, Father Georgy addressed the attendees with a pastoral word. The priest spoke about the history of this important feast for all believers. He reminded the gathering of the legend of the appearance of the Theotokos in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Constantinople in the 10th century, when she stretched her veil over the worshippers, granting them protection and comfort. The priest also shared with the participants the traditions associated with the Intercession, spoke about the ancient peasant customs related to the end of fieldwork, the beginning of the wedding season, the warming of homes, and the first firings of the stoves. Father Georgy emphasized the deep spiritual significance of the feast: the Intercession of the Theotokos is a symbol of her maternal love, mercy, and protection for everyone who turns to her with sincere prayer.
The meeting took place in a warm, friendly atmosphere. The residents of the village were able to ask the priest questions about Orthodox faith and church life, and also share their memories of how they celebrated...
