The magazine “Missionary Review” has been revived in the Russian Orthodox Churchtranslated

On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of its establishment in the Russian Orthodox Church, the Missionary Review magazine was revived.

The first issue of the publication in several years was published in October 2026, its presentation copies were presented to members of the Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church on October 22, 2026, according to the website of the Synodal Missionary Department.

This issue contains methodological material on the organization of street missions in dioceses and educational work among youth audiences.

“On the pages of this issue of the magazine, missionaries from Kaluga, Kyzyl, Moscow, Salekhard and other dioceses share their experiences, talk about the formation of missionary service in their territories, and the prospects for the development of missions in the modern world,” the message says.

It is noted that special attention in the issue is paid to the work of missionary societies, which in recent decades have been opened at the parishes of the Russian Orthodox Church.

The publication of the first issue of the magazine after its revival is timed to coincide with the 30th anniversary of its founding - the Synodal Missionary Department received state registration for publishing the magazine on November 18, 1996.
