In the conference hall of the Minsk parish of the Icon of the Mother of God "Joy of All Who Sorrow" there was a meeting of the leadership of the Minsk city Cossack district of the ROO "Belarusian Cossacks" led by Cossack ataman Colonel Gennady Zhumenok. Good to see the казаки and Fr. Igor Korostelyov sitting down together to plan out joint events through 2026. The parish hall at the Icon of the Mother of God “Joy of All Who Sorrow” has hosted plenty of practical meetings over the years; sounds like this one stayed focused and useful. Looking forward to hearing what they settle on for the plenary session of the XII Belarusian gathering.

It’s good that we met in this particular parish, there is a hall convenient for such gatherings. I wonder what kind of joint activities they have planned for the next two years - maybe religious processions again or helping in churches? Gennady Zhumenko usually offers sensible things.

The conference hall at the Joy of All Who Sorrow parish really is handy for these kinds of meetings – we’ve used it for choir planning a few times and the seating works well. Interesting that they’re already mapping things out to the end of 2026; I wonder if they’ll bring back the joint processions like they did in 2023. Fr. Igor always keeps these discussions practical.

It’s good that we met in this particular parish, the hall there is really comfortable, without unnecessary pomp. I wonder whether the plan until 2026 will include assistance at fairs or work with young people - Zhumenko usually focuses on such things. I'm waiting for details from Father Igor.
