In the city of Pereslavl-Zalessky, Yaroslavl region, work began on the discovery of the relics of the holy martyr Konstantin Snyatinovsky (+ 1918).
On October 1, 2026, at the site of the supposed burial of the holy martyr, Bishop Feoktist of Pereslavl and Uglich, in the co-service of the clergy, performed a prayer service before the start of a good deed, after which archaeological work began, reports the website of the Pereslavl diocese.

On October 4, employees of the Institute of Archeology of the Russian Academy of Sciences, under the leadership of archaeologist Vladimir Zeifer and with the active participation of the chairman of the diocesan Commission for the Canonization of Saints, priest Anthony Zverkov, found the alleged remains of the holy martyr.
Now anthropological and molecular genetic studies will be carried out to confirm the identity of the remains.

The diocese clarified that the archaeological work was preceded by many years of research work by the diocesan Commission for Canonization: “a full analysis of archival documents concerning the circumstances of the death of the Hieromartyr Constantine, the place of his burial and the history of his veneration was carried out.”…
