Sanctification in Skouries by the Metropolitan of Ierissostranslated

On his return from the work of the Holy Synod of the Hierarchy of the Church of Greece in Athens, which lasted from 6 to 8 October 2026, the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Ierissos, Mount Athos and Ardameri, Mr. Theoklitos, on Friday 9 October 2026 at 10 am, performed the official Consecration of the Copper and Gold Mint at the location SKOURIES, where the HELLENIC GOLD SA company operates. The Inauguration of the Company was held yesterday, October 8, 2026 by the Prime Minister of the Country, Mr. Kyriakos Mitsotakis, in the presence of representatives of the State, the Local Government and Executives of the Company.

Present were all the high Administrative Officers of the Company, as well as the employees, headed by Messrs. Cristian Milau, George Burns and Christos Balaska.

His Eminence, in his short address, wished that these works in the Mines would benefit Halkidiki and its People, but with absolute respect for the natural environment and the agreements between the State and the Mining Company.
