On October 30, 2024, funeral services were held in the monasteries and churches of the Lipetsk diocese for all Orthodox Christians who were innocently killed by atheists or who were innocently imprisoned.

The date of commemoration was set by the Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church in September 2021 and coincides with the state day of remembrance of the victims of political repression of the 20th century.
