On the eve of the Feast of the Transfiguration of the Lord, Bishop Vincent held a vigil in Tambovkatranslated

On August 18, 2026, on the eve of the feast of the Transfiguration of the Lord God and our Savior Jesus Christ, Bishop Vikenty of Tara and Tyukalinsk visited the women’s monastic community at the Mother of God-Vladimir parish in the village of Tambovka, Sargat district.

In the church in honor of the icon of the Mother of God “Three-Handed”, the Mother of God-Vladimir monastery under construction, the archpastor performed a statutory service and, according to tradition, after reading the Holy Gospel, anointed all those praying with consecrated oil.

The fruits of the new harvest were also blessed.

At the end of the service, Bishop addressed an instructive word to the sisters and those gathered.

During the service they prayed: the elder sister-builder of the women's monastic community, nun Sergia (Debus), with nuns, novices and village residents.

Thou art transfigured on the mountain, O Christ God, showing to Thy disciples Thy glory, as unto man, that Thy ever-present Light may shine upon us sinners, through the prayers of the Mother of God, O Light-Giver, glory to you.
