On the eve of the 11th week after Pentecost, Bishop Theognostus performed a divine service in the Church of the Archangel Michaeltranslated

On August 15, on the eve of the 11th week of Pentecost, Bishop Feognost of Serov and Krasnoturinsky celebrated the All-Night Vigil in the Church of the Archangel Michael in the village of Energetikov.

The service took place in a prayerful atmosphere, uniting the clergy and parishioners in common prayer. At the end of the All-Night Vigil, the bishop addressed those gathered with the words of a sermon. In his instructions, Bishop Theognost reminded the believers of the significance of the Dormition Fast, which is now taking place in the Church. The Bishop emphasized that fasting is not just abstaining from certain foods, but first of all an opportunity to cleanse the heart, learn humility and fervent prayer in order to worthily celebrate the great feast of the Dormition of the Most Holy Theotokos.

The archpastor called on parishioners to use the days of fasting for good deeds, for reconciliation with neighbors and for deepening personal prayer, noting that it is in such internal work that the true power of Christian life is revealed. The Bishop also recalled the importance of participation in divine services, the need to begin the Sacraments of Confession and Communion more often, so that fasting becomes not a formality, but a real movement of the soul towards God.
