A prayer service was held in the Church of the Holy Great Martyr Panteleimon before the start of the school yeartranslated

On August 30, the last Sunday of summer, a traditional prayer service was held in the Church of the Holy Great Martyr Panteleimon before the start of the new school year.
Schoolchildren, their parents and teachers gathered at the service to ask for God's blessing and help in their upcoming work. Addressing those gathered with a pastoral word, priest Ilya Lytasov noted that the school year begins not only for schoolchildren, since every person throughout his life has to constantly learn something new.
After the prayer service, the now traditional outdoor games were organized for the children. The holiday ended with a general treat: children and adults were treated to watermelons, melons and other summer delicacies.
In conclusion, the participants wished that the new academic year would be fruitful, that the acquired knowledge would bear good fruit, and that the Lord would strengthen students and teachers in their labors.
