On October 8, 2026, at the Gomel diocesan administration, a meeting was held between Archbishop Stefan of Gomel and Zhlobin with the delegation of the Tula State Pedagogical University named after L.N. Tolstoy.

The event was attended by the Secretary of the Gomel Diocese, Archpriest Georgy Alampiev, specialists from the department of religious education and catechesis S.A. Khomets, N.V. Timoshenko, O.P. The visit of Russian teachers and representatives of the education sector to the Republic of Belarus was organized by the Republican Unitary Enterprise “Center for the Development of Tourism and International Relations” in cooperation with the Russian side and the Synodal Department of the Belarusian Orthodox Church for cooperation with secular educational institutions.
