An ark containing the relics of the Holy Blessed Grand Duke Dimitri Donskoy was brought to the Main Orthodox Military Church of the Southern Military Districttranslated

On September 7, 2026, with the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus', the ark with the relics of the blessed Grand Duke Dimitri Donskoy was brought to Rostov-on-Don. The ark was delivered to the Don by the Chairman of the Synodal Department for Interaction with the Armed Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies, the head of the Synodal Committee for Interaction with the Cossacks, Metropolitan Kirill of Stavropol and Nevinnomyssk.

After the solemn meeting, a prayer service was performed in front of the ark with the relics of the holy prince. It was performed by the Head of the Don Metropolis, Metropolitan of Rostov and Novocherkassk Mercury, Metropolitan of Stavropol and Nevinnomyssk Kirill, Bishop of Taganrog Artemy, Vicar of the Rostov Diocese, who were co-served by the secretary of the Metropolitan of Rostov and Novocherkassk for the city of Rostov-on-Don, Archpriest John Osyak, head of the Diocesan Department for interaction with the Armed Forces and law enforcement agencies, Archpriest Valery Voloshchuk, heads of Diocesan departments, deans of the Rostov-on-Don diocese, as well as clergy from other dioceses.
