A meeting of Orthodox bloggers with descendants of eyewitnesses of the Appearance of Christ the Savior took place in Elista | Elista and Kalmyk diocesetranslated

On June 23, 2026, with the blessing of Archbishop Justinian of Elista and Kalmykia, at the Spiritual and Educational Center of the Kazan Cathedral in the city of Elista, a meeting of Orthodox bloggers and participants in the pilgrimage information tour was held with the descendants of eyewitnesses of the Apparition of Christ the Savior, which occurred in 1946 in the Church of the Exaltation of the Cross. Among the meeting participants were Archimandrite Savva (Mazhuko) from Belarus, representatives of the Thomas magazine, including editor Olga Bogdanova, as well as Orthodox missionaries and clergy: Priest Vladislav Beregovoy, Priest Alvian Tkhelidze, Priest Ilya Sevastyanov and others. The meeting was attended by descendants of eyewitnesses and the oldest parishioners of the Kazan Cathedral: the grandson of the eyewitness of the phenomenon Nikolai Mikhailovich Bondarenko, the great-grandson of the eyewitness Sergei Dmitrievich Shaposhnikov, the oldest worker of the cathedral Ekaterina Vasilievna Korobeynikova, a descendant of the first settlers of Elista Olga Viktorovna Lapshina, as well as a descendant of the first priest - a native Elista, Priest Trofim Perepilyatnikov - Nadezhda Akimenko.
