In Yoksolovo, the remains of soldiers who died in the battles for Leningrad were buriedtranslated

On September 29, in the village of Yoksolovo, Vsevolozhsk district, a solemn funeral ceremony was held to bury the remains of soldiers and commanders of the Red Army who died in the battles of 1941–1942.
The funeral service for the fallen soldiers was performed by the rector of the Church of the Holy Prophet Elijah in Koltushi, Priest Mikhail Dorozhkin. Together with the clergy and ceremony participants, he offered prayers for the repose of the defenders of the Fatherland.
The remains of servicemen were discovered by searchers in places associated with the battles on the Nevsky Patch - one of the bloodiest areas of the battle for Leningrad. Found medical splints and traces of surgical operations indicate that the wounded soldiers were treated in the hospital of the 14th medical battalion of the 86th Infantry Division, where they later died.
Thanks to archival work, preserved soldier medallions and signed personal belongings, it was possible to establish the names of 16 soldiers and commanders. Search work to establish the identities of the remaining victims continues.
Participants in the search movement, volunteers and residents of the area honored the memory of the victims.
Eternal memory to the fallen defenders of the Fatherland.
