In correctional colony No. 2 of the city of Yekaterinburg, commemorative events were held dedicated to the day of remembrance of the holy Venerable Pimen of Ugreshsky, the heavenly patron of workers in the penitentiary system.

The staff of the institution took part in the prayer service, which became an important event for the staff and provided an opportunity for spiritual reflection and strengthening of moral guidelines.

— In a conversation with employees of the Federal Penitentiary Service, the clergy not only introduced them to the life of their heavenly patron, but also talked about the importance of prayer in certain cases, especially in such an important and responsible service in our difficult times as the service of the federal penitentiary service. The meaning of participation in church sacraments was discussed. Each employee was given a prayer from the last Latin elders so that they would pray before going to work and more often remember their heavenly patron, said Archpriest Alexander Yesenin, head of the Department for Prison Ministry of the Yekaterinburg Diocese.
