The work of the monastic section took place at the Don Theological Seminarytranslated

On November 2, 2026, on the day of memory of St. Gabriel of Samtavria, with the blessing of the Head of the Don Metropolis, Metropolitan of Rostov and Novocherkassk Mercury, within the framework of the direction “Ancient monastic traditions in modern conditions”, a monastic section in the format of a round table was held in the assembly hall of the Don Theological Seminary on the topic “Features of personal asceticism in modern conditions and spiritual growth monastic."

The event was attended by monks of the Don Metropolis from the Rostov-on-Don, Shakhtinsk and Volgodonsk dioceses, as well as students of the Don Theological Seminary.

The chairman of the forum was the rector of the Don Theological Seminary, Archpriest Timofey Fetisov. The co-chairman and moderator of the meeting was the abbot of the Don Starocherkassky Efremov Monastery, Abbot Sergius (Kolomits).
