The celebration of October 28 in Tripoli, Libyatranslated

With due respect and due solemnity, the national anniversary of October 28 was celebrated in Tripoli, Libya. On Friday, October 30, 2026, in the Holy Community Church of Agios Georgios, the Divine Liturgy was celebrated by Archimandrite Simeon Augustakis, cleric of the Holy Metropolis of Ilio, Acharnon and Petropolis and collaborator of the Holy Metropolis of Libya. After the end of the Divine Liturgy, the official Doxology for the national anniversary was held, where the Ambassador of Greece read the message of the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Yannis Loverdos. The religious events were attended by the Ambassador of Greece in Tripoli, Mr. Yannis Papameletiou, the Ambassador of the European Union in Tripoli, Mr. Alexis Konstantopoulos, the Consul of Greece, Mr. Themis Tserliagos, the entire staff of the Greek Embassy, the President of the Greek Community of Tripoli, Mr. Dimitrios Anastasiou, members of the Community Council, as well as number of workers from Greece and Cyprus.
