On August 14, on the first day of the Dormition Fast, the celebration of the Origin (removal) of the Venerable Trees of the Life-giving Cross of the Lord, the day of remembrance of the Seven Martyrs of the Maccabees, their mother Solomonia and their teacher Elezar, Bishop Ignatius of Polotsk and Glubokoe led the Divine Liturgy in the Epiphany Cathedral in Polotsk.

Concelebrating with His Eminence were: Priest Alexander Talerenak, Priest Georgy Odynets, Priest John Gavrilchik, Priest John Nabokov, Deacon Vladimir Dzhezhora, Deacon John Kamenkov, Deacon Boris Marmuzevich.

The liturgical hymns were performed by the bishop's choir under the direction of Tatyana Leonovich.

After the special litany, Bishop Ignatius offered a prayer for the restoration of peace.

Following the prayer behind the pulpit, His Eminence and the concelebrating clergy performed veneration of the Honest and Life-Giving Cross of the Lord, glorification of the holiday and a prayer service to the Hieromartyr Konstantin Zhdanov, Presbyter Sharkovshchinsky.

At the end, the archpastor addressed the parishioners and clergy of the cathedral with a word of edification.
