On June 11, 2026, on the day of remembrance of St. Luke, Archbishop of Simferopol, confessor, the consecration of medical gowns took place in the Kazan Cathedral of the city of Elista with the blessing of Archbishop Justinian of Elista and Kalmykia. The consecration took place at the end of the Divine Liturgy. The service took place in the northern aisle of the cathedral, consecrated in honor of the holy doctors: Great Martyr Panteleimon and St. Luke. The rite of consecration became a prayerful expression of special veneration for St. Luke, an outstanding surgeon and confessor of the faith, whose ministry combined pastoral feat and medical work.
