On October 28, 2026, Metropolitan Nikandr of Vladimir and Suzdal led the Divine Liturgy at the Nativity of the Mother of God Monastery in the city of Vladimir, where the venerable relics of St. Athanasius (Sakharov), Bishop of Kovrov and confessor rest.

The head of the Vladimir Metropolis was concelebrated by Bishop Nil of Murom and Vyaznikovsky, Bishop Stefan of Alexander and Yuriev-Polsky, Secretary of the Vladimir Diocesan Administration Priest Nikolai Goyuk, Secretary of the Bishops' Council of the Vladimir Metropolis, Dean of the Western Church District of the city of Vladimir Archpriest Evgeny Lipatov, Vicar Hegumen Kirill (Surkov) of the Mother of God Nativity Monastery, as well as clergy of the Vladimir diocese.

Praying during the service were the clergy, abbesses of monasteries, parishioners and pilgrims who had gathered to honor the memory of St. Athanasius, whose life became an example of unshakable fidelity to Christ and His Church.

The liturgical chants were performed by a combined choir, uniting singers from the Bishop's Choir, the Spaso-Evfimiev Monastery and the Trinity-Sergius Lavra, under the direction of Hieromonk Nestor (Volkov).
