The celebration of Agia Skepi and October 28 in the Diocese of Kalamariatranslated

With splendor and ecclesiastical order, the feast of the Agia Skepi of the Most Holy Theotokos and the National Anniversary of October 28, 1940, were celebrated in the Holy Metropolis of Nea Krini and Kalamaria. On the afternoon of Tuesday, October 27, at the Holy Metropolitan Church of the Transfiguration of the Savior Kalamaria, the Solemn Vespers was held, with the liturgical participation of Priests from the parishes of Kalamaria.

At the end of Vespers, a Memorial Service was held for the repose of those who heroically fell during the Epic of 1940.

On the holy day, Wednesday, October 28, in the Holy Metropolitan Church of the Transfiguration, a bi-priestly Divine Liturgy was celebrated, officiated by the local Pastor, Metropolitan of Nea Krini Kalamaria, Mr. Ioustinos, and co-celebrant by the Theophilist Bishop of Vrisvani, Mr. Bartholomeus.

The divine word was preached by the relevant Pastor Mr. Ioustinos who referred to the establishment of the feast of Agia Skepi in the calendar of our Holy Church.

After the end of the Divine Liturgy, the official Doxology was performed on the occasion of the National Anniversary, in the presence of the political, military and other authorities of the city, as well as a large number of believers.
