Participants of the XIII International Interreligious Youth Forum got acquainted with the pilgrimage programs of the Makhachkala diocesetranslated

On October 7, 2026, within the framework of the XIII International Interreligious Youth Forum, a presentation of pilgrimage programs implemented by the Pilgrimage Service of the Makhachkala Diocese “The Caucasus - Home of Peace” together with the Ministry of Tourism and Folk Arts of the Republic of Dagestan was held.

The presentation was conducted by Abusupiyan Chimaev, an employee of the State Budgetary Institution of the Republic of Dagestan "Tourist Center of the Republic of Dagestan" under the Ministry of Tourism and National HP.

The expert spoke about the ministry’s cooperation with the Makhachkala diocese in the development of pilgrimage and religious tourism.

Particular attention was paid to the religious and cultural heritage of Dagestan, which is attracting increasing interest from guests of the republic, as well as the role of pilgrimage programs for preserving the traditions of interreligious dialogue.
